The directors behind Tick The Publicity Box CIC initially met in the 1990s when John Barnett, now MBE and Deputy Lieutenant of Lancashire, was granted a radio licence for Blackpool and Alistair Clarke was appointed News Editor at Radio Wave.

John’s passion has always been working with community groups and charities in Lancashire and is a major player in the local business world, instrumental in Blackpool’s successful bid for £10.8m LEGI funding.

Alistair, meanwhile, went on to launch three stations during his radio career before establishing a media business specialising in media training and undertaking publicity for some of the biggest companies in the world.
